Domestic Package Policy

Your domestic package policy meets your insurance needs as an owner and occupier of a residential house.

The policy is dividend into 5 sections as follows:

SECTION A

This section is for buildings. It provides comprehensive cover to your buildings for fire and all perils available under a fire policy.

The cover is on reinstatement basis.

SECTION B

This section provides cover for the contents of the residential house. In addition to the fire cover it includes burglary cover for the contents of the house.

SECTION C

This is an all risks section for your valuables. These are items such as cameras, jewellery, mobile phones, watches and personal effects that you might carry during safaris. You can extend the cover for this section to worldwide.

SECTION D

This section provides cover for domestic servants as required by law if an employee is injured or killed in the cause of employment.

SECTION E

This section provides cover for your liabilities as an owner or occupier plus personal liability for your occupiers.

It is not necessary for you to take cover under all the sections.

As an occupier who has leased the house you would be interested in covering contents of the house and possibly the all risks, workmen's compensation, and occupiers liability.

As an owner of the house you would be interested in covering your building and your liability as an owner of the house.
